Use your saved prompts in Claude Desktop
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is how AI apps like Claude Desktop and Cursor talk to other software. Prompt Petal speaks it, so the prompts you keep on your petals can be used inside those apps too.
What you get
Every prompt you have saved appears in the AI app's own list of prompts. Choose one, give it the text to work on, and it arrives filled in. Claude can also look through your prompts itself and use the right one when you ask it to.
Your prompts stay on your Mac. The AI app asks Prompt Petal for one when it needs it. This is part of Prompt Petal Pro.
Add it to Claude Desktop
- Open Prompt Petal Settings and choose the AI tab.
- Click Add to Claude Desktop, then Add.
- Quit Claude Desktop and open it again.
Other AI apps
Cursor and VS Code have their own one click buttons in the same tab, Codex has a command to copy, and any other app with MCP settings takes what Copy Setup for Other Apps copies. Claude can also save a new prompt you ask for, or change one. Every AI app, step by step.
