A Promptzy alternative
Promptzy is a Mac app that keeps prompts and AI skills as Markdown files and keeps them in step with Claude, Cursor and other AI tools. You open it with Command, Shift and P, search, and paste. It is free for 10 skills, with Pro at $5 once (checked on promptzy.app on September 14, 2026).
Where Prompt Petal is different
- Every device you type on. Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android, with Apple Watch and Wear OS, all from one account.
- Click instead of search. Your prompts open in a ring around a small flower, in the same place every time. Select text, pick a petal, and the prompt lands with your selection in it.
- Buttons that do things. A petal can open a link, open an app, run a Shortcut, or ask AI with your own key.
- A ring per app. Different petals for your editor, your mail and your AI chat.
- MCP too. Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code and Codex can use, save and change your prompts.
When Promptzy is the better fit
If you work on one Mac, keep your prompts as files you edit in your own editor, and want them written into each AI tool's own skills folders, Promptzy does exactly that.
