Sync your prompts across all your devices
With Pro, the prompts you write on one device show up on every other device you use: Mac, Windows PC, Linux computer, iPhone, iPad and Android phone, plus your watch. Each device encrypts your prompts before they leave it, with a recovery code only you hold.
Set up your first device
- Open Prompt Petal Settings and sign in under Your account, with Apple, Google, Microsoft or your email.
- The first time you sign in with Pro, Prompt Petal shows your recovery code. Keep it in your password manager.
Add another device
- Install Prompt Petal on the new device and sign in with the same account.
- On a device you already use, open Settings and press Add a Device with a QR Code.
- Scan the QR code with the new device, or type your recovery code there instead.
From then on your prompts sync on their own: when an app opens, after a change, and every few minutes on a computer. Sync Now in the menu runs a sync right away.
When two devices change the same prompt
Prompt Petal asks you which version to keep, with when each one was saved and on which device.
Keep your recovery code safe
Your prompts are encrypted with a key made from your recovery code, and we never hold that code. Losing the code means the synced copy cannot be opened again, so keep it somewhere safe.
