Use your saved prompts in Cursor and VS Code
The prompts you use on code, like Find the bug, Explain this step by step, or Write tests for this, are the same few every day. Prompt Petal keeps them on a flower beside your work, and with Pro it also hands them to Cursor and to GitHub Copilot in VS Code over MCP.
Cursor
- Open Prompt Petal Settings, then the AI tab.
- Click Add to Cursor. Cursor opens and asks to install Prompt Petal.
- In Cursor's chat, ask it to use one of your prompts by name, or to list them.
VS Code
- Open Prompt Petal Settings, then the AI tab.
- Click Add to VS Code. VS Code opens and asks to install the Prompt Petal server for Copilot.
- In Copilot Chat's agent mode, ask for one of your prompts by name.
A ring just for your editor
In the Apps tab, give Cursor or VS Code petals of their own, like Find the bug and Explain code, and choose whether they join your usual ring or replace it while the editor is in front. Select code, click the flower, pick one, and the finished prompt lands in the chat box with your code in it.
Save prompts from the chat
Ask the assistant to save a prompt you just wrote together, and it arrives on your ring and on your other devices.
